Richard was extremely responsive to messages and turned up when he said he would. He took care of our home by wearing protective shoes and cleaned up after himself when the job was finished. During the work, Richard was really friendly, explained what he was doing, and completed the work in a very timely manner and to a high standard.

Richard recently installed a new induction hob in our kitchen, which necessitated the fitting of a new power circuit and switch. In freezing weather, he installed new trunking round the outside of the house – from the circuit board in the garage to the kitchen – to accommodate the wiring and still managed to keep smiling.

After seeing recommendations on Facebook I phoned to request an emergency call out this morning as my electrics had gone off. Richard was out within an hour and fixed the problem. Brilliant service, would recommend.

I've had two job done by Richard and should have left a good review then but I'll. cover both here. On the first job back in March he installed a couple of 2-gang exterior sockets in the garden. The work was clean and the installation looks very smart as he took the time to ensure the armoured cable was well hidden which wasn't easy as the area was tiled. The interior work was clean with the new switched spur installed and channelling out finished very well so that once painted you would not know the spur was a new addition.

The second job this week was to instal another double socket for an awning and integral light. After checking the specs and ensuring that the both required 13A he recommended that rather use the external double socket the power could be wired into an internal switched spur. As a result the job was quicker but also neater on the outside with one less large box on the house. Just as before the repair on the channelling and switched spur was perfect and wont be visible once painted. Normally when a spark is adding sockets you have to clean up a bit afterwards as they always miss something but Richard made sure there was no trace.

Really impressed with the work ethic, communication and quality of his work. Would not hesitate to use him again for any electrical work in the future.

Fantastic service from Richard, he replaced my old fusebox with a safer modern one and did a very professional job of it, labelkling everything up and tidying up leaving a clean workplace after.
He was extremely responsive and came back the same day to rewire my boiler which unexpectedly had a fault in the wiring at no extra charge. Very pleased and highly recommend!

Had all the equipment for certification and even his carpet slippers .👍 wouldn’t hesitate in contacting again as he’s very reasonable for quotes and a perfectionist. We urgently needed an electrician on Wednesday evening at approx. 22:30. All of our plug sockets had ceased working. It was essential for my husband’s medical condition that this issue be rectified ASAP. Not knowing a local electrician, I found Richard on Google, I called him and left a message. I was amazed that he called me back without delay. Over the phone, he helped us to identify the issue. This meant that the medical equipment could immediately work.
The following morning he was in contact with us again, as we had only partially resolved the issue the previous evening. Due to his work commitments, although he tried, he was unable to get to our house; however he told me what to do again over the phone.
After following his instructions, all of the sockets were fully functional. If the same issue ever occurs again I will know what to do.
I cannot thank Richard enough for his immediate response, the customer support and care that he provided. Without the medical equipment my husband cannot function.

We’ve ordered an EV and wanted to get an EV charger fitted whilst the OLEV grant was still available. I consulted the government website list of approved installers and contacted about 6 companies. Only two responded. Cornerstone contacted me straightaway and arranged an early visit. Richard was very helpful, described what the job entailed and examined our electrical system very thoroughly. I initially thought the quote was high but this was because the Hypervolt charger is quite expensive as it has a lot of functionally. I eventually received a second quote from another installer and the quote was almost identical. I went with Cornerstone because I was impressed with Richard’s reliability and his professional and organised approach. The payment schedule was also better. I received reminder text messages prior to installation and the whole operation was very slick. The installation took a morning and the job was very neat and tidy. I received the electrical and building regs certificates promptly following the installation. I haven’t tried the charger yet as we’ve not taken delivery of the EV but I’m thrilled that it appears to work with our solar panels out of the box. There are various settings but I can set it to send excess solar to the car instead of sending it to the grid. Although the amount of gain will be small, on a sunny day I could probably add about 60-80 miles worth of free juice to the car. Given what is likely to happen soon to electricity prices this could come in handy. I’m extremely satisfied with Cornerstone and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Richard recently installed a new EV charger for us. He came and did a site survey and talked us through the entire project and what was needed, sent us a full quotation via email, and then booked the work. He kept us fully updated at every stage. When the day came he arrived 15 mins early, cracked on with the work all day (even in the rain), and did a brilliant job - the cabling is tidy and hidden as much as possible, everything works as it should, and it all looks very smart. He also tidied up after to leave it looking good. Really impressed and would highly recommend Richard to anyone needing an electrician in Congleton!!

Richard did a fantastic job of our Hypervolt electric car charger, very tidy job and some great advice on the installation.

I bombarded Richard with a long list of jobs. New power sockets in my garage, new garage lights hard wiring in and old tube lighting removed. Outside lights in the garden, replacing pendant lights indoors and more. Not only did he do a great job but was also determined to make good after each task and ensure he left everything clean and tidy. Richard is a top bloke, he was very helpful in talking everything through, good comms all the way through and he did great work. I will definitely be using his services again very soon. 👍

I just to wanted to say thank you and let everyone know of the fantastic experiance and service I just recieved from CornerStone Electrical this week. I needed an outdoor plug fitting, Richard got in touch and arranged a viewing to give me a quote, he turned up on time, wore a mask, asked permission before he did anything or went anywhere and was so lovely! I am disabled and my house is shielding to protect an extremely vulnerable person and he was very patient with me as I'm very slow and not to put feminism back a decade or two but I'm a typical girl and had no idea how to answer his questions so he asked permission to check for himself and got his answers. He then gave me a great price and said he could come back tomorrow, and get it done! He turned up on time again and was so lovely! Really friendly and understanding, he did a great job and then cleaned up after himself using his own hoover and things!! Outdoor plug looks great and works perfectly, I got excellent customer service and he was so patient with me and friendly! I can't thank him enough! Oh and you can pay by card!
So to anyone at all needing an electrician please give this guy a call first, especially if you are nervous/vulnerable or shielding as he really was lovely!! (my husband has worked at screw fix for years so knows many many tradesmen and this gentleman has now got our future business exclusively. Those who know my husband knows that says a lot!)
Really nice guy with a really great price who did a really good job!

I asked Richard to do quite a lot of small jobs and to replace my main board and label everything up. It was a 2 day job but he did a great job, worked really well and was really thorough, now I have some fancy extra LED lights on top of everything else. Will use again, I'm even thinking about what other projects I can get him to do.

Was massively impressed by the full service that Cornerstone Electrical provided. The initial assessment and quotation was clear with parts and labour itemised. Communication was excellent and the work was all done as scheduled with helpful scheduling reminders sent. The work was all done to a high standard and Richard was kindly able to accommodate a late addition on the day. The areas where work was completed were cleaned well and Richard even offered to remove a defunct electrical item from our garage wall for us. Richard also helped us find a specialist for a persistent thermostat issue we had. Really as you can see I cannot recommend enough fantastic efficient and friendly service with great communication!

Had a chandelier fitted over my dining table. An excellent job was done. Even did an excellent job patching up a previous holes.We had a crashing incident when a tradesman put a blanket over my previous light which caused lots of damage and dissapointment so naturally I was concerned but a fabulous job was performed.
